So you finally worked up the courage to book the appointment, settle on a design or at least an idea, and it's almost time to see it all come to life. Before you head in for your appointment, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure the experience is the best one possible for you:

  • DO NOT DRINK (AT THE TIME OF YOUR APPT OR 48 HOURS BEFORE) - Being hung over is bad enough as it is. The last thing you want is to have to show up to your tattoo appointment hung over and feeling ill. Tattoos aren't painless, and you'll want to be in your best state possible to ensure you can manage the pain, especially for longer appointments. Drinking right before your appointment, although it may seem like a good idea from a pain management perspective, could actually make things worse. You need to be able to listen to your body and have it react naturally to the process. Come in sober, come in feeling great, and things will go that much more smoothly. We promise.

  • EAT SOMETHING - Eat a good sized, healthy meal shortly before your appointment. Don't show up hungry. Blood sugar levels can affect your ability to manage pain and the tattoo process in general. Also, bring water and snacks. If you're about to head in for a lengthly  tattoo appointment, you'll want to make sure you can stay hydrated and that you have plenty of snacks to eat during the appointment. For your convenience, our Red Bull fridge is always stocked, and we have plenty of food vendors in and around our shop should you and your artist need to take a food break. Some more text goes here.

  • RELAX AND COME IN FEELING GENERALLY WELL - Try to relax before your appointment. Don't go to the gym right before, or on a lengthly run, try to conserve your energy for the appointment. Come in while in the best mood possible. Avoid conflicts and stressful activities before your appointment. The better you feel when you arrive for your appointment, the better you'll feel during your appointment. Smile! This is supposed to be fun and something you'll remember forever. We'll do our part, you do yours!

  • GUESTS - Only staff and the client being tattooed are allowed in the tattoo area. Your friend or family is welcome to bring you food, however they must wait in the lobby, while the work is being done. If you are nervous let your artist know, they will walk you through it. Your welcome to bring headphones and a portable media device.

  • DRAWING REVIEW - All drawings are available for review 2 DAYS prior to your appointment. If your appointment is on Tuesday you can view your drawing on Saturday. If your appointment is Wednesday you can view your drawing on Tuesday. It is not mandatory to view your design before hand. The majority of our clients love and trust their artists work and show up the day off the appt without seeing their design.  This is entirely up to you, but it is not essential to come in before hand if you don't want too.
